Governor’s Cup

I am announcing the first annual Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament. Again, this will be held at the same time as District Conference, but is considered a separate event. We are asking for two man teams from each club who will compete in a legitimate golf tournament. They will need official handicaps. The winning team will be sent in 2011 to play the Rotary International Golf Tournament in St. Andrews Scotland. They will have the chance to play the old course, and two others nearby. It should be a trip of a lifetime. Entry fee is $100, which includes $25 to the Rotary Foundation for a golf ball and a chance to play St. Andrews. Sign up your teams on line at www.rotary7750.org.

Awards Luncheon

We have asked all of the Greenville Metro Clubs to make April 30th their regular meeting for that week. The luncheon will be at the Embassy Suites. We will recognize Presidential Citations, Governor Citations, Foundation Giving, CART, Polio, etc. There will be entertainment by Café and Then Some and the Governor’s School. This is a separate event from the Conference. Cost is $25, to be offset by the regular charge from clubs.

My theme for the year has been Make it Memorable, and this conference will be no exception. You can register online at, yep, www.rotary7750.org.
